Q: What is the difference between an HD 720P or 1080P system and an IP system?
A: An IP CCTV system can provide a higher resolution measured in megapixels. IP Cameras. Cat 5 Cable is used and video is stored on a network video recorder or NVR.
Q: How can I improve night vision?
A: Night viewing is normally achieved through Infra Red (IR). The number of, size and type of infra red LED's will determine the effectiveness of the night vision. Manufacturers' and suppliers often indicate the maximum IR distance, e.g. 20M, 40M etc.
Q: How can I remotely view my CCTV cameras?
A: Viewing footage remotely from a smart phone, tablet or P.C is achieved by an internet connection to your DVR, HD-TVI DVR or NVR.
Q: I don't like cables, can I buy wireless CCTV System?
We recommend cable where possible. All CCTV cameras require a power source, so a power cable will be required anyway (unless alternative energy e.g. solar panels are deployed). Wireless transmitters and receivers may be used where cable runs are difficult, however for recording, it is not recommended to use more than two wireless cameras due to the frequencies interfering. For high end applications IP cameras with WiFi are available Here.
